Network, Discover and Benefit: Deutsche Telekom at Cisco Cloud Connections

Bratislava was the place to be for all cloud experts, cloud providers and resellers from the Central/Eastern European region in September: Cloud Connections, an event hosted by Cisco, gave great insights into the future of the cloud market. Deutsche Telekom, as the leading cloud services provider in this region, was there and offered a glimpse into its cloud strategy for the coming years.

The Cisco Cloud Connections event aims to bring cloud service providers and cloud resellers from the region closer together in order to build potential business relationships between them. The conference offered several opportunities for specialists to meet, network and uncover new opportunities on the cloud market. The audience consisted of all major Cisco partners from Southeastern Europe with representatives of Slovak Telekom, Croatian Telekom, T-Systems Hungary and Telekom Macedonia.

Several keynote speeches, as well as technical breakout sessions, were part of the overall program. However, the panel discussion, where local top partners discussed the future of the cloud, was also an exciting highlight. As one of Cisco’s main strategic Partners, Deutsche Telekom was, of course, invited to have a place on the panel.

Miroslav Pikus, Cloud Lead Slovak Telekom, gave great insights as to why Deutsche Telekom is among the cloud leaders of the CEE market and how we differentiate ourselves from other global players in the field. “What makes us a trusted cloud provider in the CEE region is our local partnership strategy. We are eager to address the customer’s needs for strong local support and we are able to deliver services in a very custom-tailored fashion by our local professional services staff,” he says.

Cloud services depend on connectivity – being a renowned telco provider, connectivity is one of Deutsche Telekom’s core competencies. All our connections are completely reliable and secure. Security is also of great importance when developing a cloud strategy. Many customers prefer to access their cloud systems via private networks, so the synergy between offering virtual servers and various types of private connectivity are significant. Or as Miroslav Pikus states: “Our competencies in delivering cloud and data center services help to shape the future of the cloud on the CEE market.”

The event was a great opportunity for us to engage in several conversations with distributors, who are very eager to function as resellers for our cloud products all over the region. We believe that the cloud market is growing rapidly, with substantial growth opportunities not only for us but also for our business partners.

We are certainly looking forward to the next Cisco Cloud Connections event!
