Deutsche Telekom Dominates Gartner Rankings

Each year, the leading research group Gartner evaluates enterprise mobility management providers, placing them in a so-called Magic Quadrant. Deutsche Telekom has been ranked in their latest quadrant as the best telco provider with “Visionary” status.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant ranks rival technology providers on how well they are executing their stated vision. In the latest evaluation, companies were ranked in the area of mobility management services. Gartner defines such services as “IT and process management services required by a company to acquire, provision and support smartphones, tablets and  field force devices with integrated cellular and/or wireless connectivity”.

Given a “visionary” rating, Deutsche Telekom is well-positioned in this field. According to Gartner, visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules.

With this result, we clearly set ourselves apart from direct competitors in the mobile network operator area, including Vodafone, Telefonica, AT&T and Orange.
While being quite a boost, this is nothing new for us: Gartner has consistently given Deutsche Telekom positive ratings in several categories. For example, Gartner rated us as a “leader” in M2M services just this October.
